Blue Stork Confuses The Country

Is it a freak of nature or a nasty prank? People in Briesen district, Germany, turn to the sky in disbelief. TV reporters and many news agencies turned this small town upside down to find out what is going on.

“The animal must have been contaminated in some way,” said the country director of the Nature Conservation Germany (NABU), Wolfgang Mädlow, today to the AP. Continuing he says: “I’ve never seen or heard such a thing, although there is a white stork in Poland which, during the summer, is black because of the active fires and emitting black carbon“.

People in village speculate that the stork could have been sprayed as a April Fool’s joke, and other that it came from Africa to promote gay Football World Cup.

If it is a bad joke, or a coloring accident, the toxicity of the paint could endanger the life of the stork. For now, there are no signs that the stork is in life threating condition, it is building its nest as it should, carefree of the world around her.
