Is Sephora Animal Friendly Brand?

Well, searching through the internet, and looking at some articles and a few forums, I’ve concluded that nobody knows for certain if Sephora is testing on animals or not. So, to be clear minded we contacted Sephora and asked them. This was their answer:

Dear Costumer, thank You for contacing Sephora. Our private label brand Sephora Brand is cruelty free (meaning that the products have never been tested on animals). At Sephora we carry over 200 other brands and we cannot guarantee that all the products from these brands are cruelty free.

Here is a list of some of brands that we carry that do not test on animals:

So to conclude this letter, products made by Sephora are cruelty free. In their stores you’ll find some cruelty free products and some animal tested products. To give you a hint which products to buy look at the list above, and of course don’t forget that Sephora brand is animal friendly.

    that’s a relief. I was feeling guilty about the dark circle cover up that I just got that works great. Someone had told me that they don’t test but I bought it without confirming if it was true or not. I feel better now.

    Yeah but what about using animal products? If they breed animals just to be killed to have their fat used in lotions and other things, isn’t that just as bad?

    That is true, I’ve read somewhere that before transferring production to the US, italian factory produced products without animal fat. Today I’ll put a list of ingredients that have animal origin.

    So, I know for a fact that a few of those products are not cf, they my not test the finish product on animals, but the ingredients in the products are tested on animals…so not cf. I know this is an old post, but just wanted to let ppl know.
