Shoes Made From NASA’s Mars Mission

Artist Tom Sachs created a limited edition line of sports shoes called “Mars Yard”. Teaming up with Nike and NASA gave him insight in some high end materials, like ones used for Mars missions.
The old-style looking shoe is not cheap. For $385 you get Vectran fabric recovered from the Mars Excursion Rover airbags and the outer-sole from the Nike special forces boot.
Although the price is quite high, Sachs wants more to make a statement than a payday.
