Fisherman Saves Injured Dog Found At Sea

Blake Talman, a drunk driver, murdered Donna Chen and injured her dog Barney.

The accident scene was about a mile from where the fisherman found dog swimming. Our guess is that he was so freaked out and traumatized that he just wanted to get as far away from there as possible. And when he ran out of land, he took to the water.

It is a pure luck that Rory O’Connor was there fishing, because there was no place for Barney to go and we don’t know if he could have made it much farther. He’s banged up, but fine. Our hearts go out to the family who lost their mother.

Gorilla Adopts A Pair Of Kittens

Koko, a female western lowland gorilla, was born on July 4, 1971. She is able, according to Francine “Penny” Patterson, to understand more than 1,000 signs based on American Sign Language, and understand approximately 2,000 words of spoken English.

In this video Koko gets a return visit from the two kittens she selected from a litter of seven the week before. She’s tentatively named them “Tiger” and “Blackie” (for obvious reasons). The question is will Koko tire of the kittens or want them to stay as her permanent guests at the Gorilla Foundation. After much playing, enrichment and affection, the answer seems clear. While this does not satisfy Koko’s dearest wish which is to raise a gorilla (or other great ape) baby, it provides a loving experience for gorilla and kittens.

The medical and health department of Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu has found a new method to boost interest in sterilization clinics offering a new car for every procedure.

India is the second most populous country in the world. Where over 1.21 billion people (a sixth of the world’s population) live on just 2.3 percent of the planet. India is projected to be the world’s most populous country by 2025, surpassing China. This alone is a problem for the Health officials in India.

“The prizes include a Nano car, five motorcycles, five 21-inch colour TVs and seven mixer-grinders” said Jhunjhunu CMO Sitaram Sharma.

Can We Use Expired Aftershave?

Like every Friday night, a couple of my friends and I gather around and we play football (soccer) in a local sports center.

A little digression…I do not know why American football is called “foot”ball when you rarely use your feet to play this game. While in European football, your feet are main tools. And yet, this is called soccer. Go figure

To get back on the topic…friend, who works for one big cosmetic company brought a big box of aftershaves. It was like a 100 of them.

When we asked him, how come he is giving us a fortune in cosmetics, he answered: those are expired aftershaves. After that, no one dared to take one. Like it will poison them. Well, knowing a bit of chemistry I didn’t understand their fear. I mean, aftershave is nothing but a whole lot of alcohol and a bit of fragrance, which is actually some kind of an oil.

So the main question is, can alcohol or oil go bad? And if they do, what harm can they do to you?

Luckily, aftershave has a low concentration of fragrance. It’s mostly alcohol. In out of date after shave, the alcohol will preserve the fragrance for ages but the more air is in the bottle (the more it is empty) the more the fragrance might diminish.

So, over time, the fragrant oils will break down, and that process will be accelerated if the bottle is not stored in a cool and dark place, away from sunlight and heat. Colognes and perfumes, which contain more fragrance, will break down faster than aftershave.

Can We Use Expired Aftershave? Basically YES, aftershave should be discarded only when it no longer has the fragrance that you desire.

Police Caught A Criminal Selling Jackets From Cats Fur

Nadine was buying a jacket at the market in Leipzig, Germany, when a man offered her fur jacket made out of cats. She was shocked. He even said that for one jacket he needs at least 18 cats. According to him, cats came from a local vet, already dead.

When media heard about this, Roman M. changed his story. He was now telling people that those jackets were actually made from sheep and rabbit fur.

Leipzig Market Authority called the police and pressed charges against this individual.

As of 2008. European Union forbids selling products made from cats and dogs.

There’s A New Street Game In Russia

We are not sure if this was supposed to be funny or what, but throwing pigeons at one another is a new game in Russia. It consists of two or more players, grabbing one pigeon per hand and then throwing them, obviously copying some type of matrix movie, at the opponent.

Although pigeons seem to be alive after this play, we are wondering are they OK?
